MIAMI - A 58 year old multi-personality retiree yesterday filed suit against himself. It is his second attempt at justice in a dispute with his co-personality, a juvenile he refers to as Tony. In his claim for compensation which failed to be heard by the courts 18 months ago, the man who cannot be identified, is seeking punitive damages to the tune of US$975,000.

In a legal case sure to break many records, his alter ego 'Tony' has launched a counter suit for an unspecified amount claiming the man had repeatedly harrassed him and made inapropriate sexual advances over several decades among other charges.

If found guilty the man could face three to 7 years prison as well as damages. On the other hand, if he wins his case, Tony could face 12 months jail and damages.

In 1832, a Cincinatti court passed a little known law which created a loophole which the man hopes to use. It includes among other things, the ability to sue an entity within the same framework as an individual. If Tony is accepted by the court as such an entity, then the case may make history.
